就在一眾網友希望自己“永遠18歲”的當下，外國網友卻興起了一陣“80歲”的畫風。
不少明星也紛紛加入，曬出加上“變老”濾鏡的照片，絲毫沒有偶像包袱。
比如堪稱樂壇卡戴珊姐妹的喬納斯兄弟，一下子成了老爺爺組合。
加拿大歌手Drake突然鬍子都白了……
而“复聯”小組則集體曬照變老，這難道是滅霸打錯了響指？
一時間名人“變老”照火遍網絡，彷彿快進了幾十年……

這款能一鍵把人變老好幾十歲的應用，正是現如今風靡全球的FaceApp。
FaceApp first went viral in 2017, but with many updates since then, the technology has become even more realistic, causing it to go viral once again. The free version offers a limited choice of filters, but don't worry, the one that ages you is available for free. You also have options to change your face, including changing your mouth to a smile, change the color of your hair, and swap genders.
據外媒報導，其實早在2017年，FaceApp就流行起來了，此後該應用有多次更新。這一技術如今更加逼真，因而再次火爆。雖然免費版可選的濾鏡有限，但是“變老”這個功能恰好可以免費。此外，你還可以選擇變臉，包括調整出微笑表情，改變髮色，甚者轉換性別。
FaceApp was developed by a small team out of Saint-Petersburg, Russia.

"We developed a new technology that uses neural networks to modify a face on any photo while keeping it photorealistic," founder and CEO Yaroslav Goncharov told TechCrunch.
其創始人兼CEO Yaroslav Goncharov對TechCrunch表示，團隊研發出了一項新技術，可以利用類神經網絡來改變任何照片上的人臉，同時還能保持照片逼真。
"Our main differentiator is photorealism," he said. "After applying a filter, it is still your photo. Other apps intentionally change a picture in a way it is entertaining, but not a real photo anymore."
Goncharov說，逼真是我們最大的不同，在使用一款濾鏡後，照片還是你的照片。而其他應用會用好玩的方式故意變換照片，但照片的真實感就沒有了。

然而這樣一款變臉神器也引發了人們的擔憂，尤其是其中的安全問題。

報導稱，其中最大的擔憂就是很多人提出：用戶一旦同意該應用的條款，便將內容使用權出讓給了開發者們。
Digitas strategist James Whatley shared the fine print on Twitter, calling the terms of service agreement a “Doozy.”

“You grant FaceApp a perpetual, irrevocable, nonexclusive royalty-free, worldwide, fully-paid, transferable sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, publicly perform and display your User Content and any name, username or likeness provided in connection with your User Content in all media formats and channels now known or later developed, without compensation to you,” the agreement states, in part.
協議中指出：“您授予FaceApp永久、不可撤銷、非排他性免版稅、在全球範圍內、全額支付、可轉讓可再授權的許可，以使用、複製、修改、改編、發布、翻譯、創建衍生作品，分發，公開處理和顯示您的'用戶內容'，以及任何與'用戶內容'相關的名稱、用戶名或照片，這些內容以現在已知或此後開發的媒體格式和渠道提供，無需對您進行補償。”
Privacy expert David Vaile, the chair of Australian Privacy Foundation, told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation that “they ask for way more rights than they need” and “it is impossible to tell” what is done with the uploaded content.
而澳大利亞隱私壯陽藥基金會主席、隱私專家大衛•韋爾則對澳大利亞廣播公司表示，他們要求的權限遠遠超過了他們所需要的，而且很難說會對上傳的內容做些什麼。
不過，該公司創始人Yaroslav Goncharov則聲明，並沒有“向任何第三方銷售或分享用戶數據”（the company does not“sell or share any user data with any third parties”） 。
“We might store an uploaded photo in the cloud. The main reason for that is performance and traffic: we want to make sure that the user doesn't upload the photo repeatedly for every edit operation,” he says. “Most images are deleted from our servers within 48 hours from the upload date.”
他表示，“我們會把用戶上傳的照片存儲到雲端，主要出於性能和流量的考慮，我們想要確定用戶不會每次編輯操作都要重複上傳照片。而上傳48小時內，大部分圖片都會從我們的服務器刪除掉。”

不少網友發推表示這個濾鏡並不好玩，而讓喜劇演員Mark Mehigan感到傷心和冷酷的是，近日他為了紀念已故祖父而在Ins上傳了照片，卻被人誤以為是“變老挑戰”，評論區一片哈哈大笑……
Comedian Mark Mehigan had a rather heartbreaking encounter with the coldness of life as well as the chill of death. He tweeted: "Just posted a photo of my late grandad on Instagram as it's the anniversary of his death and people think it's a Faceapp so keep commenting 'lol' and 'old c***' underneath it."
也有網友們感到了驚慌和焦慮：
“有如下經歷的人舉手：下載faceapp想把自己變老，以為又萌又好玩，然而效果太真實了，於是引發一波生存危機，甚至開始思考自己的死亡，細思極恐！！”
